Background
The Librije is one of the two  three Michelinstars restaurants in The Netherlands. It is managed by Jonnie & Thérèse Boer. The librije is located in Zwolle.  The Librije has designed an idiosyncratic handwriting. They use authentic regional products in combination with the newest cooking techniques. They will leave you surprised. They are taking you into their world with passion and love for cooking. Jonnie entered in service by Ed Meijers in 1986. Ed Meijers was the owner since 1980. In 1990 Thérèse entered in service as hostess and sommelier. In 1993 Jonnie and Thérèse adopt The Librije from Ed Meijers. In that year they also received their first Michelinstar. In 1997 they launched their first book: Pure. After that they launched several other book such as, More Pure In 2001 and in 2003 Pure natural and Enjoy Natural. In 1999 they received their second Michelinstar and in 2004 their third Michelinstar. In the years after that they released several books about eating and drinking. They released also books with famous writers and other (important) people. They also opened a hotel which is called Librije’s Hotel in a monumental building called ‘the spinhuis’.
There is located also a new restaurant which is called Librij’s sister.  On the third of June 2012 they launched their last book in their trilogy called ‘PUREST’. The book Is not only a cooking book, it is Jonnie’s vision of the revulation/evulation quality cooking with regional products and spices. In the book you can also find an article about Jonnie’s vision of cooking and of course you can find recipes in the book.
Definition of the problem
Restaurant ‘De Librije’ wants to export the book ‘Purest’ abroad. It is a Dutch restaurant that is focused on high quality cooking with fresh ingredients. We are going to export the book to Indonesia. So the main question of the first report is: In what manner is there demand in Indonesia for the book ‘Purest’? The main question of the second report is: How to market the culinary book ‘Purest’ to Indonesia?
Formulation of the project objectives
The project aims to explore the opportunities that are opening up in the emerging markets such as Indonesia, by exporting this book. (see research design)
Project commission or project result
At the end of our research, the group will deliver a research report about our findings and give recommendations by the way of report on the following:
  • An introduction of the culinary book “PUREST”.
  • A detailed description about macro-environment of the market in Indonesia by analyzing macro factors using DESTEP and micro-environment of it from the perspective of the various stakeholders.
  • Choose one potential costumer target group in Indonesia and suggest how motivate them.
  • We make recommendations about how to market the culinary book “PUREST” in Indonesia. It is important to state here that we are not responsible for the implementation of such recommendations.

Project activities + planning + deadlines+ responsibilities
To ensure our report has the right content, we use the study guide Mr. Hulzebos gave us. The elements listed in the study guide will return in the timetable below.
We have made a schedule with logically structured activities, because we want to divide the tasks every Friday the week before it is planned.  All members agreed that the divided tasks will be finished by the next Wednesday as this will give enough time for any necessary adjustments.  Following this method the first tasks to be done are prioritized and well monitored before the submission date ensuring good quality.

Project Boundaries
a)      This report is finished when our group completes the whole report, so everything must be done. This period we have to finish the research report and that has to be finished on 15-03-2013. In the last week, we will add some improvements (if it is necessary) and read the whole report.  In the next period we will make the marketing plan and that has to be finished on 17-05-2013. Even so the week before the deadline, the report has to be finished, so that we can make improvements.
b)     We have the assignment to export the book to one particular country. We have Indonesia, so we focus on one country and not several countries. Every week we will work on the project, especially the Wednesday and Friday.

Quality
We want to achieve a high-quality research and advisory report. This report must meet the expectations of The Librije as well. To make sure that our final reports are of good quality, we have made some rules which will guarantee the quality of the report. Before handing in the report, all the group members must read the report first and check if the following points are in the report:

d        Control of conviction. This has to do with the relation to the conviction of the report. Have we achieved what we said we were trying to achieve? Are all questions answered?
d        Control of credibility. Looking at the credibility of the report. For example, checking the sources to know whether they are also listed in the appendices. This rule is made to make sure our report will be complete. The book 'Making a Good Report' will be used.
d        Style controls. Here we look at the style of the report. Everything must be in the same style. Chapters, sections and subsections should be in the same style. All tables and graphs should also be numbered.
d        Each group member should check on formulation, grammar and do the necessary corrections before submitting their task.
d        Each group member must ensure that when writing larger pieces clarity is not lost. Therefore, the use of subsections is encouraged.

Tom starts a Facebook group and dropbox account through which information can be shared effectively and fast. Anne Marie sees to it that deadlines are met and if there are problems she'll make it her business to make the rest of the group aware so it can be solved. Tom and Ayodele will revise the project at the end in order to locate and correct grammatical and consistency errors. Silke will occupy herself with quality control and to make sure all information in the report is relevant.
Project Costs and revenues
All members will be required to work 4 hours (give or take) per week at the project, whatever is required to finish the work assigned to them at a rate of €20,- an hour. We don't think any money other than that is required because all information for this plan can be found through desk research on the internet and by borrowing books from the library and printing can be done free of costs.
Risk analysis
The biggest risks that can happen during this project is:
o   Sickness
o   Lack of commitment
o   Emergency of going back home (foreign students)
Precautionary measures in place for the above risks are:
  • If someone gets sick, the remaining members will have to divide up the work among one another. The sickness have to be informed soon enough. Teacher and group members must know.
  • Members have to encourage, assist and make the member realize the important of his/her contribution to the overall goal of the group.
  • Every member has to be informed and then we can divide the work that still has to be done.
Code of conduct
In order to achieve the group goal, the members have set out some code of conducts which include the following;
  • Everybody has to meet the deadline set for the assignment.
  • Everybody can absent if having a good reason.
  • Each member must put in their best in the course of carrying out their duties.
  • If having any questions about projects, don’t hesitate ask another.
  • Respect for one another.
  • If someone breaks these rules, he will get a bad grade on grading our projects.
By signing this document, you have read, understand, and agree to the terms and rules written above.

Annemarie Schraa
This project is different in every way compared to all the other projects that we did. The reason for this huge difference is that we had to work with two international students. One from Ireland and one from South Korea. Speaking English is not the problem, but working together is something else. Generally speaking, the process of this project was good and structured. I think that we all did a great job. For the international students it was sometimes difficult especially in the beginning, because it is a new environment and the working method is different. Almost everything was always on time, but sometimes there were some difficulties. This project was special, because we were allowed to make a report for the Librije and I think that is an honor. Personally, I think that we had a good and successful period. I am looking forward to the next period.
Silke Marsman
This project we have to do research in Indonesia  for the restaurant ‘the Librije’ . In the beginning of this project we had to know each other. Some of us did know each other but we did not know the international students who we had to work with. So the first week was more about getting to know each other, see how others work etc. After the first week we started really quick with the project contract and the research design. This was not much work so we started not with very much work. After that first two weeks, we started with the other parts and divided them so that everybody had equal parts to write.  Everything went quite smoothly, we consulted with each other when something was hard to find or if you did not know what you had to do. Each week we discussed together how the parts should look like and when everybody should hand in their parts. I think we collaborated very well with each other, sometimes there were some difficulties but we managed to work through them.  I think we worked really hard and I hope It will turn out to be a good quality project.
Ji Min Chung
At first time doing this project, there were some difficulties to me. Finding information about Indonesia high end culinary cuisine is not easy and everything has to be in English. But when in progress, my project members are very nice and they always make me understand the work of project with kindness. The subject of project is so special because it is first time doing this kind of project, so I learned lots of things such as doing project with student from other countries, information about Indonesia, kinds of tool for analysing and so on. I think everyone did their own best and everything was on time and good. There was harmony with doing works, it means project was done by all together. I hope our project will be helpful to Librije.
Tom Eenkhoorn
When starting off the period I had no idea how things would go down. While I already knew half of my associates at first it was still a matter of seeing how everyone would work together. After everyone was settled in after the first week the progress on the project really started to take off. Even though we were given Indonesia as the export market (a challenge to find relevant information, and it will likely continue to be a challenge during the next period) we managed to make progress swiftly and ran into no trouble. The hard work of everyone has definitely paid off and I can’t wait to see the end result at the end of the semester.
Ayodele Odesola
It won’t be an overstatement to say that this group is one of the best groups I have ever worked with. When working in a group which is made up of different nationalities, one expects to go through the crisis stage in the early stage as members try to understand and live with one another’s weaknesses. This was never the case in our group. Right from the very beginning we work as a team; each member pulling his/her own weight accordingly. It wasn’t a surprise to me when we were always ahead of the class and I won’t be expecting anything short of an excellent score at the end. I really look forward working with the team in the 4th period.
